Topic 1 - Land Ahoy!

Our first topic this term is Land Ahoy! We will be looking at Pirate poetry and making up our own, pirate stories where we will be describing a character and writing part of a Pirate story. In science, we are learning about the environment and climate change and looking at Marvellous Maps in Geography. 

Maths

Parents if you want to help your child learn their times tables at home in a fun and interactive way you can go on Times Tables Rockstars!

Mathletics is a great competitive way to improve your child's maths knowledge!

PE

P.E kit is needed on Monday for tennis and Tuesday for P.E.

Please make sure your child has their P.E kit, including outdoor kit and trainers.

Please ensure all clothing is named.

Times Tables Rockstars.

 

Homework

Homework will be given out every Friday and should be returned into school by the following Wednesday. Homework will usually consist of a piece of Maths and English homework. There will be spellings also. 

Reading

Reading books will be changed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday...don't forget to sign the reading record! If you're child reads another book, please write it in their Reading Record. Children are expected to put their signed Reading Record and reading book in the book changing box themselves, so please remind them.
