We have just returned home from the area sports at Saffron Lane stadium and we just wanted to say how fabulous SJF were. They were the best turned out there, in their matching blue t-shirts with printed names and numbers. Their attitudes towards all the races we watched - win or lose were exemplary. Well done to all that took part and thank you to the teachers that worked so hard organising the day. From Helen, Gary and Molly-May Hunt
A big thank you to all the staff involved in the Crich residential. It sounds like a good time was had by all and Year 6 will take away many happy memories from their trip. The blog was awesome too, thanks!
Looks like year 6 are all having fun !
What a lovely time I had yesterday helping the cooking club with their Come Dine With Us event. I was amazed at all the questions they asked and how carefully they all worked. I was impressed with their 'knife skills' and how they approached such a big task with such enthusiasm. They really pulled it off. Well done team.
I would like to thank all the staff at John Fisher for Isaac's award(Progress trophy) He was delighted as we, his family are. After a shaky start to the school year-eye problems requiring glasses then breaking his collar bone at school-Isaac's confidence and love of school took a 'nose dive' but with your devoted kindness he is back on track. To see his delighted face as he showed me his trophy was wonderful. So thankyou once again and Happy Easter...Elaine Hill (Grandma)
I would like to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed helping at the Grandparents' Gardening Day and spending time with my grandchildren on such a lovely sunny March day. This can only be a good thing for the children to learn in this way and builds such lovely memories for all the generations involved. Followed this week by the wonderful performance of The Button Box by years 3 and 4 - this was so entertaining and so much work must have gone into making this and it showed with such a polished performance. Thank You to You All at St. John Fisher and A Very Happy Easter To All
Thank you so much for the time you have invested in Betsy's education whilst she has been at the school. With your support she has become more confident and has made lots of friends which will no doubt help her settle in her new school really well. Thank you also to the amazing PTA for all their hard work including all the "behind the scenes" work that doesn't get seen. You are all amazing and do a fantastic job with raising funds. You give a fun approach to helping the school with everything it needs and its been amazing being a part of it. With warmest wishes Jonathan, Ruth & Betsy Freeman
Just watched year 3 and 4 play with my grandson in, Cayden Bailiss, absolutely brilliant. I have watched a few plays over the years and this has surpassed them all. Well done to all the pupils who participated and the staff who produced it.
Great to work with all the Year 5 SNAG group today. Lots of children eating fruit at break and looking forward to seeing more healthier food choices at St John Fisher especially in packed lunches.
I really like this web page. As a joint carer with the parents of my grandchildren it helps me stay informed of events and occasions. I love the photos of World Book Day. Keepup the good work you all do with our children xx
